We are unsung collective. We make theatre that gives voice TO unsung women - from those whose stories are unfolding now, to those forgotten by history - with an unapologetic feminist agenda.
We make work that chimes with the contemporary female experience – including all who identify as such. We approach our work with a sense of anarchy and irreverence.
ultimately, we want our audiences to come away feeling empowered, as though they’ve had fun, and bursting to share the night’s experiences with others.

Alice barber
Alice is a theatremaker, producer and feminist killjoy from yorkshire, based in leeds. She runs unsung collective day to day, so if you drop us an email, it'll be alice that you reach.
She is also the creative Producer at Red Ladder Theatre Company, co-runs Front Room Productions, and often works with wrongsemble.
she loves dogs, yorkshire tea, and jackets that the 90s have vomited on.
elvi piper
Elvi Piper is a Leeds-based theatre director and dramaturg.
She is Artistic Director of family theatre company Wrongsemble, alongside working as a freelance director and facilitator for some of the country’s most prolific producing theatres.
An adopted Northern native, Elvi lives with her two cats (and husband) in Leeds, and is able to consume unhealthy amounts of coffee on a daily basis!
lisa holdsworth
Lisa Holdsworth is an award-winning writer from Leeds.
She has written for many TV shows including 'Ackley Bridge', 'Call The Midwife' and ‘Midsomer Murders’. She is also the chair of The Writers’ Guild.
Lisa is responsible for many fictional homicides including the brutal bludgeoning to death of Martine McCutcheon with a giant cheese.
