Join the visionary mathematician ada lovelace (1815 - 1852) as she attempts to calculate - taking as data the trials and tribulations of three other inspirational female figures from our past - why women's achievements have been relegated to the footnotes of history. with a soundtrack from Leeds-based three piece electronic band PEAKES.
Unsung has been adapted from the stage play, written by lisa holdsworth (Black Teeth and a Brilliant Smile, Ackley Bridge, Call the Midwife). After a critically acclaimed UK tour in 2019, this timely and passionate show was set to return to the stage for spring 2020. the radio play has been produced in response to covid-19, and created entirely from within lockdown.
Unsung is supported using public funding by Arts Council England, with special thanks to leeds city college and slung low.
