“a punchy, unconventional call-to-arms that embodies the same spirit as Shakespeare’s Globe’s recent runaway success Emilia.”

OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
In light of the current circumstances, we are sad to say that the unsung spring 2020 tour won't be going ahead. we have taken the difficult decision to cancel, rather than postpone the tour. Huge thanks to the venues that programmed it, and to those of you who had already booked tickets.
We are, of course, gutted. but this doesn't mean that we wont be smashing the patriarchy in other ways! The team that was set to tour the show this spring are currently hard at work (in isolation), planning and plotting, and hope to have something exciting to share with you soon.
Watch this space & stay safe!
unsung
Ada Lovelace.
Sophia Jex-Blake.
Lilian Bader.
Andrea Dunbar.
Heard of any of them? Neither had we. And we’re meant to be a group of feminists.
Unsung explores the untold stories of four pioneering and inspirational female figures from our past, asking why they, and hundreds like them, have been relegated to the footnotes.
After a critically acclaimed UK tour in 2019, this timely and passionate show from Unsung Collective and Lisa Holdsworth (Black Teeth and a Brilliant Smile, Ackley Bridge, Call the Midwife) returns to the stage for a second time.
with a soundtrack from Leeds-based three piece electronic band PEAKES. Unsung is supported using public funding by Arts Council England.
